New York Over the past two winters, Kissing Bridge Resort has undergone a nice revitalization under new ownership. It’s aiming for more growth in the years ahead, so they’ll be working with local graduate students.

WIVB reports that Kissing Bridge Resort is launching a partnership with the University at Buffalo School of Architecture. The program is intended to help with the ski resort’s growth plans in the years ahead.

Two of the three courses are being offered to Graduate students. One class will focus on making the ski resort a four-season destination, while the other will focus on technical methods used in architecture.

“I love the imagination that youth bring to the table. They are not blocked by anything and just bring really creative concepts,” said Rhett McNulty, the owner of the Bridge, to WIVB. “Getting more entrenched in the community here was an important piece of the puzzle for Kissing Bridge.”

The program was made possible by the ski resort and its charitable arm: Beyond The Bridge.

New Ownership At Kissing Bridge

Since buying the ski resort in 2024, Rhett McNulty has made vairious imprvoemeent sinto making it a four-season destination. Some of the recent additions include snowmaking upgrades and mountain biking trails. They have also upgraded the resort’s technology and food-and-beverage lineup. Probably my favorite change was adding cardboard cutouts of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce that fans could throw snowballs at.

We’ve seen ski area and outdoor management programs pop up across the country, but I believe we haven’t seen an architecture-focused one before. We’re looking forward to seeing what the students can come up with to grow Kissing Bridge.
