Backyard ski race course.

On January 22nd, 2025, German alpine skier Jacobย Schramm seriously injured both legs while training on the Streif inย Kitzbรผhel, Austria, requiring 2 surgeries and an extensive break from skiing and ski racing. He’s been fighting his way back to ski racing since then, returning to skis far sooner than many would have thought.

There’s a lot, both mentally and physically, that goes into such an impressive return, and there’s a good chance Schramm’s impressive backyard race course helped him out.

Jacob explains that he’s been skiing in his backyard like this since his childhood, with these clips simply representing a return to where it all began.

A backyard race course like this would certainly make for some fantastic backyard festivities. This course, a timer, a few beers, and a whole load of friends could make for some serious fun.
