Park City, Utah โ It’s looking like Deer Valley East Village is going to be quite the development.
Yesterday, the Extell Development Company (builder of the East Village) and Hilton announced a partnership on a new hotel. The Waldorf Astoria will be situated at the end of the Green Monster trail at Deer Valley. I was personally hoping for a Days Inn at this spot, but the Waldorf is fine, I guess.
The hotel will have 132 guest rooms (keys). There will also be 105 residences available for sale, ranging from 1,099 to 5,155 square feet. On the upper levels of the building will be 56 hotel residences, and there will also be a separate building that has 49 private residences.
โThe signing of Waldorf Astoria Deer Valley Resort and Residences marks a major milestone in Hiltonโs growing luxury portfolio across the Americas,โ said Kara Randall, Hilton’s VP of North America luxury and mixed-use development. โWeโre proud to partner with visionary owners to introduce this ski-in, ski-out resort to Deer Valley East Village, complementing the upcoming Canopy by Hilton at Deer Valley, which is expected to open this year. This Waldorf Astoria resort will further enhance Hiltonโs diverse offerings in Utah, where more than 70 properties are already welcoming travelers.โ
In terms of amenities, it’s going to be quite the facility. The listed amenities include a large spa with various features, a couple of pools/hot tubs, a fitness center, a ski valet, a golf simulator, various dining options (including Waldorf Astoria’s signature Peacock Alley), extensive conference spaces, a kids’ room, and concierge services. The signature amenity will probably be an outdoor pool and hot tub located directly above the Green Monster trail.
Construction on this project began in May 2025. The new hotel and residences are expected to open in 2028.
This will be Hilton’s second hotel at Deer Valley Resort. The other, Canopy by Hilton, is expected to open later this year. That hotel will be situated near the Jordanelle Express Gondola. This will be the second Waldorf in Park City; the other is located at Park City Mountain Resort.
