Cheers to Olga Naumova who broke the Guinness World Record for the highest altitude skysurf jump after jumping out of a helicopter in Nepal.

Invented in the 1980s by French skydivers, sky-surfing is an extreme skydiving discipline where athletes straps a small, lightweight board (similar to a snowboard) to their feet and performs acrobatic maneuvers like flips, spins, rolls, and helicopter turns during their descent.
The historic freefall happened on November, 10th, 2025 when Naumova took off from a chartered helicopter in Syangboche, Nepal and cruised to the airspace near the snowy peaks of Mt. Everest and jumped from an altitude of 20,945 feet. Naumova was a wearing a supplemental oxygen mask to stave off the effects of hypoxia as she made her 8,000 ft descent and secured the new world record.
The 44-year-old Belarus born sky-surfer has an incredible 17,000 skydives under her belt and aims to inspire woman to be curious, courageous and brave when it comes to extreme sports and fitness. When she’s not jumping out of perfectly good aircraft, Naumova enjoys surfing, snowboarding, running and creating music (Olga released a rap album and was a founding member of the first Belorussian rap band).
