This occurred at the same site of the large hydrothermal explosion that destroyed a boardwalk and sent rock, mud, and debris flying hundreds of feet into the air on July 23rd, 2024. Dirty eruptions reaching between 30-40 feet in height have taken place sporadically from the pool since then.
Several such events have occurred over the past few weeks, primarily taking place at night and only recognized through their sound. This represents a nice view of one of the dirty eruptions, occurring in the early morning under the blue sky.
