This is a big year for freeride skiing and snowboarding with the FIS Freeride World Championships set to debut in February. The Freeride World Tour is headed to Alaska as well, making for a truly epic season. The organization just announced the 2026 roster, and it includes 18 rookies getting ready for their first tour.

7 snowboard women will be competing throughout the season, including defending champion Noรฉmie Euquy. Three rookies, Sarah Bacher (AUT), Natalie Allport (CAN), and Mia Jones (USA), will be kicking off their Freeride World Tour career in 2026.

11 snowboard men, including four-time champion Victor De Le Rue, will be competing this year. Similar to the women’s snowboarding category, three new rookies will be debuting this year, including Sacha Balicco (FRA), Shayne Blue Sandblom (USA), and Cรฉsar Barin (FRA).

11 women are set to compete in the ski category, with Justine Dufour-Lapointe hunting her third overall title. 4 rookies are set to compete, including Lou Barin (FRA), Zoรฉ Delzoppo (FRA), Wynter McBride (USA), and Agostina Vietti (ARG).

The men’s ski field includes a massive 21 athletes, including returning champion Marcus Goguen, Weitien Ho, Toby Rafford, and Martin Bender. 8 rookies are coming in to shake things up, including Victor Hale-Woods (SUI), Paul De Portalรจs (SUI), Ugo Trouba (FRA), Fynn Powell (NZL), Kelly Hilleke (USA), Joey Leonardo (USA), Lochlan Harvey (CAN), and Jack Kolesch (CAN).

The first event of the season is scheduled to go down between January 16th-21st at the Baqueira Beret Pro. Don’t miss it!
