Make no mistake about it, when members of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team head to South America to train on snow during the summer months they take their preparations for the upcoming competition season seriously but when they are granted a day off they like to have a bit of fun.

Members of the men’s alpine team are currently in Portillo, Chile where they are honing their skills on the hill and staying at the iconic yellow hotel at the base of the mountain. There are certain privileges enjoyed by top notch ski teams who chose the iconic Andean resort train including accessing the pool with their skis on during a day of rest and relaxation:

Great to see some of America’s finest athletes blowing off some steam between grueling training sessions. The lifeguards may not approve but we do. Let’s GO!
