A wild video shared to social media captures the moment a person took a personal watercraft underneath the stern of a BC Ferries vessel in Howe Sound near Vancouver, Canada.

According to Coast Reporter, BC Ferries, a company that runs multiple ferry routes along the coast of British Columbia, is aware of the video and has reported it to the Sunshine Coast RCMP.

“Regardless of the vessel involved, operating a personal watercraft that close to a ferry is extremely dangerous and puts both the rider and others at serious risk.” – Senior communications advisor Shiryn Sayani.

The incident reportedly occurred along the BC Ferries route between Horseshoe Bay and Langdale terminal serviced by the Queen of Coquitlam and the Queen of Surrey vessels. The act is illegal under Canadian federal marine safety regulations.
