Chile — One of Chile’s biggest ski resorts is now open for the 2025 ski season.
Today, Nevados de Chillan opened up for the 2025 ski season. Nine runs are open, and eight lifts are operating.
Nevados de Chillan made two major improvements for the 2025 season. The first is the addition of a snow tubing park. Two lifts will carry guests up after their run. For the first time ever, Nevados will be hosting night skiing. The solar panel lighting system will light a 2km trail that goes through an ancient forest.
Nevados de Chillan has 23 trails, 16 lifts, and a vertical drop of 1000 meters (3281 feet). There’s a total of 10,000 skiable hectares, 500 of which are maintained by ski patrol. For off-slope activities, they have four thermal pools. For guests looking for long stays, there are two ski-in/out hotels on site. During the summer, the ski resort is home to a mountain biking park. The closest major city to Nevados de Chillan is Chillan, which is roughly 50 miles away.
