Yellowstone National Park visitation statistics are in for May 2025, and it marked the busiest May in the park’s history.
The park hosted 566,363 recreation visits last month, up 8% from May 2024 with 522,450 recreation visits. The busiest year in park history, 2021, saw 473,799 recreation visits in May.
So far 2025 has brought 762,672 recreation visits into Yellowstone, up 6% from 2024 with 719,127 recreation visits. By this time in 2021, the national park had seen 649,153 recreation visits.
2021 saw a total of more than 4.8 million visitors throughout the entire year. It’s yet to be seen if 2025 will mark the busiest year on record, but it is trending pretty high for the time being.
