The ski season might be officially over for Snowbird, but that doesn’t mean spring skiing and snowboarding is completely done at the Utah resort. Uphill travel is now open in Gad Valley and Peruvian Gulch, so those willing to earn their turns can still take advantage of some spring snow.

While the mountain is technically open for uphill travel, be aware that the are should be treated as backcountry terrain and skiing and snowboarding should only be done at your own risk. There is no ski patrol on the mountain and you are solely responsible for assessing terrain and avalanche danger & risk.
Bring avalanche gear (beacon, shovel, probe) if you plan on hitting the slopes and be aware that hazards are not marked and equipment may be encountered on the mountain.
Snowbird officially closed for the 2024/25 ski season on Memorial Day after a weekend of live music and unofficial pond skimming. The mountain saw 542 inches of snow throughout the entire season.
