Alta Ski Area in Utah had another incredible winter and crews are hard at work on summer projects following their April 20th closing day.
Crews will be working throughout the weekend and into next week on multiple projects which will effect uphill travel. Projects include modifying the alignment of the existing Supreme Chairlift which The United States Forest Service recently authorized Alta Ski Area to begin.
“Alta Ski Area is open to Uphill Travel. Please avoid the Supreme lift line as our crews will be working in the area this spring and summer.“
Alta recommends referencing their Mountain Cams before planning a hike or ski tour.
ALTA 2025 Summer Projects Update: May 29th
Crews will be working around the mountain throughout the weekend and into next week:
• Realignment of the Supreme lift is underway—please avoid this area at all times
• Snowmaking lines along the Transfer Tow are being installed from the Wildcat lot—please park in designated areas and follow the pedestrian route to access Wildcat base area
• Construction continues on the Albion Day Lodge—please avoid this area of the Albion parking lot
• Excavation work will begin in the Albion parking lot—please park in designated areas and watch for heavy machinery
Most hiking trails are still snow-covered, please check out Alta’s Mountain Cams before planning a hike or ski tour.
Alta Ski Area is OPEN to uphill travel. SUPREME LIFT LINE is closed to all travel.
