Austria — In a series of moves that are likely exhausting ski writers everywhere, Vail Resorts has spent the last five days adding various Austrian ski resorts to the Epic Pass. On Wednesday, Vail Resorts announced that Saalbach and Zell am See-Kaprun were joining the Epic Pass. Then, Mayrhofen and Hintertux were added on Thursday, and Vail followed that up by adding Silvretta Montafon on Friday. Today, they expanded their Austrian presence once again.

Today, Vail Resorts announced that Sölden is joining the Epic Pass for the 2025-26 season. The Epic Pass will include five days of access to Sölden.

The massive Austrian ski resort features 89 miles of ski runs, 31 lifts, and 33 mountain huts. Big changes are coming next winter, with two new eight-pack bubble chairlifts scheduled to open. They’re also known for 007 ELEMENTS James Bond, a cinematic experience museum. There’s also the Ice Q restaurant, which was featured in 2015’s “Spectre. For those looking to relax, there’s the Aqua Dome, which is a large luxury spa. The closest major airport is Innsbruck, which is only 52 miles away.

“Sölden stands out as a premier alpine destination with remarkable snow reliability and panoramic views from its mountain tops and glacier ski area,” said Bill Rock, who’s the President of Vail Resorts’ Mountain Division. “Sölden is a bucket-list resort that we are thrilled to add to the Epic Pass. In addition to the amazing skiing and riding, it also contains experiences that don’t exist anywhere else like the 007 ELEMENTS James Bond experience and the Aqua Dome.”

These additions ultimately mark Epic’s growth in the European market. After the announced partnerships from the past several days, the Epic Pass now gives access to 10 ski resorts in Europe, which provide access to 34 ski areas. Another Austrian ski resort that’s part of the Epic Pass is Ski Arlberg, which has been a partner since 2013. It’s clear that European expansion, whether that be through acquisitions or by partnerships on the Epic Pass, continues to be a goal for Vail Resorts.

Time is running out to pick up an Epic Pass at its cheapest price. The $1051 price point is set to depart after Memorial Day, May 26th. In addition, it’s the last chance to put only $49 down.
