Austria — It’s been an epic week for Austria’s ski industry (terrible pun, I know). Over the past couple of days, Vail Resorts has been announcing new partnerships with various Austrian ski resorts. On Friday, they added another gem.
Vail Resorts announced yesterday that Silvretta Montafon has been added to the Epic Pass for the 2025-26 season. This will give five days of consecutive access to the Austrian ski resort.
Situated in the Montafon Valley, Silvretta Montafon features more than 85 miles of trails, 35 lifts, dedicated terrain park zones, and a series of challenging black diamond terrain that’s known as “black scorpions.” The closest major airport is Innsbruck, which is around two hours away.
“Expanding Epic Pass access to include Silvretta Montafon further opens the door to exhilarating mountain experiences in Austria,” said Bill Rock, who’s the President of Vail Resorts’ Mountain Division. “Silvretta Montafon isn’t just home to world-class slopes— it’s a destination rich in alpine tradition, stunning landscapes and hospitality that’s world class.”
This news follows the additions of Saalbach, Zell am See-Kaprun, Mayrhofen, and Hintertux earlier this week. The Epic Pass also features Ski Arlberg in Austria, which is one of the largest interconnected ski resorts on the planet.
The Epic Pass is now on sale at its lowest price until May 26th. The next couple of days are the last opportunity to only put $49 down to get one, so if you’re thinking of an Austrian ski trip next winter, an Epic Pass is worth considering.
