Rainy mountain biking in the Pacific Northwest.
Rainy mountain biking in the Pacific Northwest.

The Pacific Northwest and rain go hand-in-hand. Seattle experiences 152 rainy days a year, more than most cities across the rest of the United States. So mountain biking in the sunning forests of the Pacific Northwest often means riding on wet, rain-covered trails.

But that doesn’t stop mountain bikers like Tom Van Steenbergen, Georgia Astle, Casey Brown, and Carson Storch from getting out on the trail. Deluge, a short film presented by Outdoor Research, highlights the beauty of these rainy mountain bike days while advertising the new Freewheel MTB Stretch Rain Jacket.

Filmed in the rain-soaked forests of the Pacific Northwest, Deluge shows us that a little precip is never a reason to skip a day on the bike. Shot by Scott Secco and featuring OR MTB athletes Tom Van Steenbergen and Georgia Astle, this short marks the debut of new team riders Casey Brown and Carson Storch.
