Kootenay Pass in the Selkirk Mountains offers a stunning hiker’s paradise in the summer months, with iconic trails like Ripple Ridge and Cornice Ridge sitting high in the mountains. In the winter the mountains are a snowy playground, with a host of top notch backcountry ski and snowboard lines to by found throughout the area.
Some runs in the region are easier than others while some are much less approachable. Satan’s Choice is one of those less approachable lines. The route requires a serious repel through a narrow cliff band before the skiing can actually begin, and it’s quite steep and narrow even once the repelling is no longer necessary. All together it looks like a very fun run.
