No one is questioning the impressiveness of this yoga influencer’s flexibility but striking a dancer pose while perched on the wrong side of a protective fence at Zion National Park is an obvious breach of park policies and an extremely dangerous way to garner online approval.
Zion National Park encompasses 148,733 acres and there will never be enough park rangers to hover the 4.5 million tourists that visit each year and keep them safe from themselves. Thereby Zion has a personal responsibility code stating “your safety depends on your own good judgment.” This woman’s judgement is clearly not good.
It should also be noted this woman only jeopardized her own well being but also could have injured or killed any hikers below if she had dislodged a rock or kicked over one of her hiking boots she neatly arranged on the wrong side of the fence.
Zion National Park Personal Responsibility:
Your safety depends on your own good judgment, adequate preparation, and constant awareness. Your safety is your responsibility. Every year, Rangers respond to over hundreds of emergency medical or search and rescue incidents in Zion.
