Portillo, Chile — Following the success of a snowy 2024 season, Portillo is only around a month away from starting its 2025 campaign.
Last week, Ski Portillo announced that their ski season will run from June 21st until September 27th. In addition, the all-inclusive Chilean ski resort has made major investments in its lodging facilities this offseason.
Rennovations have been made to the Chalets, Inca Lodge, and Octagon Lodge. The C Chalets saw an alpine renovation, with bigger sitting rooms and bathrooms, along with new paint, insulated windows, carpeting, and furnishings. Half of the rooms in the Octagon Lodge have been renovated with new carpeting, paint, and curtains. In addition, these rooms have a new configuration, which will feature one queen bed and one bunk bed, which can also be converted into two twin beds. A complete renovation occurred at the Inca Lodge, which includes upgrades to the carpets, closets, bathrooms, and a fresh paint job.
Several exciting weeks are planned at Portillo this winter. Kids’ Ski Free Weeks, which are being offered between June 21 and July 19 and Aug. 30 through Sept. 27, are available for kids ages 4-11 when one adult pays the full rate. Friends Week, happening from August 9-16, will feature events like apres-ski parties, a wine dinner at Tio Bob’s, complimentary ski tours with guest ambassadors, and film presentations. Wine Week (July 26 – Aug 2) and Wine Fest (Aug. 23 – 30) will feature taste tests and wine dinners from Chile’s world-famous vineyards.
There will be various skiers who are training at Portillo this summer in preparation for the 2026 Olympics. In the past, Mikaela Shiffrin, Lindsey Vonn, Bode Miller, and Ted Ligety have trained at the Chilean ski resort.
Rates for Ski Portillo signature 7-day Ski Weeks begin at US$3,050 for a Valley View room (per person based on double occupancy), US$2,050 for the Octagon Lodge (based on quad occupancy), and US$1,550 for the hostel-style Inca Lodge. These ski week packages include accommodations, four meals daily (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner in the Hotel dining room – or the Cafeteria for Inca Lodge guests), eight days of lift tickets, and all the amenities of the resort.
