There aren’t many open ski resorts left in Colorado, but those that remain open are enjoying a pretty solid spring so far. Last week brought some snowfall to a few ski areas and this week has been no different, with a large storm bringing over a foot of snow to some areas throughout the state.
Of the five open ski resorts, three have seen a notable amount of snow over the past 24 hours. Copper Mountain recorded no snow from the recent storm, while Breckenridge took down just an inch.
Winter Park saw 6 inches of snow in the past 24 hours and 7 inches over the past 48 hours. Their season total now sits at 367 inches, with 61 trails and 6 lifts still open to skiers and snowboarders. Winter Park will continue skiing and snowboarding at Mary Jane and Parsenn Bowl as late as conditions allow.
Arapahoe Basin saw 7 inches from yesterday through last night and another 4 inches since their 5am weather report this morning. The mountain is currently spinning 9 of 9 lifts and has 104 of 147 trails open to skiers and snowboarders. They are still holding off on announcing a closing date and will continue skiing and snowboarding as late as they can.
Over Eisenhower Tunnel, Loveland Ski Area saw 11 inches of new snow over the past 24 hours, with 15 inches falling in the past 48 hours. 7 of 10 lifts and 85 of 94 trails are still open for skiers and snowboarders, even with their scheduled closing date of May 11 quickly approaching.
