Vermont’s Jay Peak Resort has had quite a ski season this year with 475 inches of snow touching down throughout the season. However with the warming weather and melting snow, the ski area has shut down for weekday operations.

There is still a decent chance the lifts will spin once again this weekend. According to Jay’s morning snow report from Monday, May 5, they’re pushing for a Friday reopen if the weather permits.

“As always, check back here for updates, trail counts, and weekend plans. We’ll be keeping a close eye on things and will share news as soon as it drops, hopefully like more corn snow and not more rain.” – Jay Peak Snow Report

The Mountain Shop at Jay Peak is currently hosting some massive sales, with 40-50% off past season equipment and outerwear through the end of the season. Additionally Jay Peak is hosting a Mother’s Day Weekend Waterpark Vacations for a family of 4 starting at just $329/night.

If Jay Peak doesn’t manage to reopen this weekend but you’re still hoping to ski or ride in the Green Mountain State, fear not, Killington is still spinning lifts seven days a week.
