Bikini Downhill.
Bikini Downhill.

If you look dashing in board shorts or a bikini and are very willing to face the cold in a race for glory, Crystal Mountain Resort‘s Return of the Bikini Downhill is an event you won’t want to miss.

Spring at Crystal Mountain

Scheduled for this Saturday, April 12, scantily clad skiers and snowboarders will race down a course with a stein full of beer, hoping to be the first to cross the finish line while spilling as little of their drink as possible. Oh yeah, and winners will earn a free Ikon Pass.

Judging is based on three categories: style (appearance and flair before and during the race, 10 points max), speed (10 points for first place, 7 for second, 5 for third, and 3 for fourth), and volume of liquid in stein following the race. The person with the most combined points in their race category will be a winner.

All racers must complete a waiver, must wear swimwear with the assigned racer number visible on left arm & leg, and must pass through all marked gates on the course. Physical contact with other participants will not be allowed. Proceeds from the event will go to the Crystal Mountain Fire Department.

Registration will run from 8:30am to 10am on Saturday with competitors meeting at the bast of Gold Hills at 1pm. The race itself will kick off at 2pm with awards and live music following at 3pm. You can get your tickets for the event here.
