It may be April 7, but that doesn’t mean the snow is completely gone. Even in New England more snowfall is expected over the next couple of days, with several inches of snow forecasted for a few Vermont ski resorts.

Snowfall is expected to come down between today and Thursday, April 10, with the National Weather Service‘s expected snowfall forecast putting around 8 inches in select areas of the state. 2 inches are expected in the area around Stowe while less than one inch is expected further south in Montpelier.

The snow reporters with Jay Peak Resort are choosing to be optimistic through this storm, noting that up to 10 inches of snow could be on the ground by the time this storm passes. Meanwhile Bolton Valley‘s snow report forecast has up to 8 inches of snow heading to the slopes, allowing them to reopen Wednesday-Sunday before shutting down for the season. Don’t miss those late season powder turns!
