Tim Sackbauer was raised on the slopes of Vail, taking advantage of the mountains for self-expression and personal growth. Tim was born with Down syndrome, but he’s never let that define his limits. His parents didn’t underestimate his abilities, and his family, including Arc’teryx athlete Lucy Sackbauer, always supported him.
Director Jordan Findlay created this 16-minute film highlighting Tim’s expectations, family, and perseverance.
“With his family by his side, a tight-knit bunch with skiing in their DNA, Tim finds a refuge for expression, solace, and the autonomy to experience the world on his own terms.“
At almost 30, Tim is ripping it up in Vail, pushing his limits on the mountain. The film is pretty incredible, but it’s nowhere near as incredible as Tim and his family.
