Skier forgets to let go.
Skier forgets to let go.

With nearly any sort of on-resort mechanical uphill ski travel, you can’t just let the lift drop you off at the top. You have to actually get off the lift, whether that’s through standing up and skiing away or letting go of whatever’s pulling you up. The only exception might be a magic carpet, but even there you have to make an effort to move out of the way.

This woman apparently forgot about that fact and decided to let the surface lift do all the work, hoping it would somehow let go of her. Of course that’s not how it works and she was instead flung around the top terminal, losing both of her skis in the process. So let this be a reminder to actually let go of the bar when you reach the top. If you don’t know how to get off a lift, ask someone for a tutorial before you get on it in the first place.
