Vermont — Last week, man’s best friend was rescued by heroic firefighters.

Last Friday, Walker, a black labrador retriever, fell down a cliff. After the fall, he was stuck on a snowy ledge in the middle of a steep, seventy-foot cliff. What made getting out even more tricky was the deep snowfall that filled the area.

The Williston and Hinesburg Fire Departments responded to the call around 7:30 a.m. Friday morning.

They got to the dog by a twin-tensioned rope system, with a single rescuer being lowered down to grab the dog. Walker was carried off the ledge, and was reunited with his owners.

Shout out to firefighters for all the hard work you do in situations like these.
