A drunk altercation at a Copper Mountain bar between two men allegedly resulted in one man threatening to shoot the other.

According to the Summit County Sheriff, the man threatened reported the incident, stating that he never actually saw a gun but claimed that the other man said we was going to shoot him. Deputies found that the reporting man and his friends were all extremely intoxicated and that their stories kept changing.

The man who allegedly made the threats was also interviewed by police, though he denied mentioning a gun or even owning one. However he did admit to getting into an argument and breaking with the other man and breaking his cell phone.

All parties involved were advised to keep a distance from each other, and the man who broke the other’s cell phone was summonsed for criminal mischief.
