Brundage Mountain Resort in McCall, Idaho, is celebrating the 200 inches of snowfall milestone far ahead of schedule this year, hitting the mark at the mid-mountain Lakeview snow marker overnight between Sunday, February 2, and Monday, February 3.

According to the resort, more than 24 inches of fresh snow fell between Friday, January 31, and Monday, February 3. Seasonal snowfall is measured starting on October 1. While Brundage usually receives an annual average above 300 inches of snow, the independent Idaho resort didn’t hit the 200-inch milestone until mid-March last season.

Hitting 100 or 200 or 300 inches is always fun and something to celebrate. What matters more to us – and the people who love to ski and ride here – is the quality of the snow coverage and snow surfaces, which are insanely good right now.” – resort spokesperson April Whitney.

Brundage Mountain’s max snow depth sat at 92 inches with a 68 inch depth at the resort’s base as of 1:00pm on Monday, February 3. Snow is expected to continue throughout the early week, with another 1-2 feet possible before the snow stops on Wednesday, February 5.
