Conditions at the Freeride World Tour 2025 Val Thorens Pro in France were almost too deep, with a huge snowfall slowing athletes down while making for some epic runs. The first place spots were dominated by the home crowd, with a French athlete taking first place in three of the four categories.

20-year-old Martin Bender of Switzerland was the only first place finisher to not be from France, and he went huge to win the ski men category. Though the landing on his first massive air and 360 was a bit back-slappy, he followed it up with two more massive 360s, one after another, switching directions between each. Pretty wild run, and certainly deserving of the score.

Bender’s first place run beat out Austrian Valentin Rainer, who also through some massive 360s for second place, and Canadian 20-year-old Marcus Goguen, who took third place.

The athletes now make their towards North America for the next stop of the Freeride World Tour. The 2025 Kicking Horse Golden BC Pro is set to go down between February 7 and February 13.
