Netflix reality star and acclaimed jewelry designer, Lynn Ban, has passed away after complications from brain surgery resulting from a skiing accident suffered in Aspen, Colorado.

Ban, who was known for her role in “Bling Empire: New York”, suffered her accident during a family ski trip to Aspen in December 2024. What seemed like a minor fall at the time quickly escalated to a life-threatening situation.

Ski patrol checked her for a concussion, but she was able to ski down the mountain under her own power after her accident rather than taking a ski patrol toboggan. However, patrollers advised that she go to the hospital, and after Ban experienced a persistent headache, she went to get a CAT scan that revealed a brain bleed.

Ban underwent emergency surgery for the brain bleed and passed away due to complications weeks after the procedure. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Aspen One Statement:

Aspen One can confirm that Lynn Ban suffered a fall on-mountain at Aspen Highlands on December 24, 2024. Several of our senior Ski Patrol team members responded to the incident, and upon their recommendation, she went to Aspen Valley Hospital. The Aspen One team extends its condolences to Ms. Ban’s family and our hearts go out to her loved ones at this difficult time.

Lynn’s son Sebastian statement:

To my mums followers,

My mum passed away on Monday. I know she wanted to share her journey after her accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would appreciate one last post sharing the news to people who supported her. Many of you followed my mum but never got the chance to know her or meet her in person. I would like to take the chance to share who my mum really was. She was and always will be my best friend, the best mother to me, and someone who cared for all. She always had a smile on her face even when times were tough during her recovery process. She was a fighter until the end and is the strongest woman I know. She was the funniest and coolest mum I could ever ask for. She took care of me, my dad, and our Entire family throughout her whole life. Although she may be gone now, I will do everything I can to make sure she is never forgotten and for her life to be celebrated as it deserves to be. As a final message to my mum, I would just like to say that I will miss you forever and to end in something she always told me “I love you more than life itself” mum.

– Sebastian
