Armada is launching their first ever ski boot collection, releasing a limited-edition run of the brand new AR ONE to select retailers this January and a full lineup set to come in Fall 2025.
The company’s goal was to create a boot that fit like a cabrio design while still performing like a 4-buckle overlap design. The first limited-edition run will be available starting on January 10th, 2025.
The AR ONE additionally aims to target a series of complaints that many skiers face, including heel lift, shin and toe bang, liner discomfort, compromised between performance and comfort, and more.
“We wanted to make the boot that real skiers are looking for. Our objectives were to maximize heel hold while delivering a progressive flex and direct power transfer in a boot that is comfortable to wear all-day, every-day. To do that we needed to develop a new concept, and that is what led us to create the AR ONE’s Hybrid Cabrio Construction.” – Bransford Briggs, Ski Boot Product Line Manager at Armada.
The AR ONE’s unique Hybrid Cabrio construction features the new Slingshot Buckle, wrapping the foot and pulling the heel backwards to lock it in place without uncomfortable pressure. This, combined with a “true progressive flex” is meant to curtail the mentioned above.
“The AR ONE brings true overlap performance characteristics to a three-piece cabrio design without compromising comfort.” – Matt Rihm, VP of Product at Armada.
The AR ONE 130 will also include ½ tech inserts, and the boots will include Memory Fit shells and liners, a Kush Damping Boot Board, replaceable hardware, and much more. The first AR ONE line will offer a medium volume 100mm last in several different flexes, ranging from 90-130 at launch.
