Park City, Utah — It’s officially the seventh day of the Park City ski patrol strike, and it appears as though no deal is imminent.

While talks resumed between the Park City Profesional Ski Patrol Association (PCPSPA) and Vail Resorts, the corporation didn’t give enough concessions to make significant progress towards a deal. More negotiations between the two sides are expected today.

Yesterday, four ski patrol unions that are employed by Vail Resorts sent a letter to CEO Kirsten Lynch. In the letter, they detailed their concerns with Vail Resorts sending members of other ski patrols to Park City Mountain Resort. They allege that ski patrollers are basically being forced to travel out to Utah for work, or else face termination from the company.

Representatives from Vail Resorts insist that what they have offers in the negotiations with the Park City Professional Ski Patrol Association has been fair, and that it has not committed any unfair labor practices.
