Missing skier reported @ Sun Peaks Resort, BC, Canada

A search operation has been launched for a 68-year-old skier after he disappeared from Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia, Canada. Tomasz Jaholkowski was last seen boarding a chairlift Tuesday morning at 11:35 am. Sun Peaks ski patrol, Kamloops Search & Rescue and the local police are all searching the area around Sun Peaks in hopes of finding him. The ground search teams are receiving aerial support from drones and helicopters.

“Mr. Jaholkowski does not appear to have returned to his hotel room, nor has he been heard from since checking into the run on Tuesday. We are very concerned for his well-being and are asking anyone who may have seen him, or has information on his potential whereabouts, to please contact police as soon as possible.” –Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP

RCMP has released a description and photos of Mr. Jaholkowski:

“We are releasing photos of Mr. Jaholkowski obtained from the ski lift where he was last observed, as well as an image of him without his ski gear on, in hopes that someone will recall having seen him since that last check-in.” Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP

  • Around 180 lbs
  • Grey hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing a red and black ski jacket, dark ski pants and a dark helmet
