Revelstoke, British Columbia — One of the snowiest ski resorts so far this season is one that’s not even open yet.
Revelstoke Mountain Resort has received 310 cm (122 inches) of snowfall so far this fall. This has led to various unreal videos. Tom Poole Photography captured Logan Pehota and Revelstoke’s ski patrol getting some turns in last Thursday. It looks like you might want to bring a snorkel for opening weekend.
According to Castanet, various improvements have been made at Revelstoke for the 2024-25 season. Camozzi Road has undergone a significant renovation, allowing easier access to the ski resort. New water and sanitary lines to Mountain Road were also a part of this project. Also, a new multi-use pathway is under construction and is expected to be completed in 2025.
Significant improvements were made to their parking lots. Lot 1 was spotted up, P2 parking lot saw a paving and expansion, and a new parking area was added near the South Village entrance.
Crews blasted and graded the Chopper, Sally Alley, Simmer Down extension, and Big Woody trails. The maintenance shop has undergone a 3,000-square-foot expansion, allowing storage for snowcats and other gear.
Meanwhile, significant progress has been made on Cabot Revelstoke, Slopeside Hotel, and Revelstoke’s new employee housing facility. The Cabot Revelstoke will debut in late 2026, the Slopeside Hotel will begin hosting guests in 2026, and the first phase of the employee housing network is expected to open next spring.
Revelstoke’s opening date is scheduled for November 30th. More snow is expected this week, with a couple of snowy days ahead. You may want to start making your plans to get there early, as I imagine that getting the first gondola cabin will be a tricky challenge.
