Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah — Snowbird’s first new chairlift in eleven years will debut next week.
Today, Snowbird Resort announced that the new Wilbere chairlift will open on Friday, November 28th. The new Doppelmayr fixed-grip quad chairlift replaced the old Wilbere chairlift, which was a fixed-grip double. The quad chairlift has a loading conveyer at the base terminal, making for an easier riding experience. It will be able to carry more than double the amount of riders compared to its predecessor. This chair will make the lift more accessible for those parked at Creekside and ski racers.
The rest of Snowbird’s terrain and lift lineup for opening day will be announced in the near future.
