Mikaela Shiffrin took the top spot at the women’s slalom event in Gurgl, Austria, earning her 99th career World Cup victory. Shiffrin was already the record holder for most World Cup victories, so every time she climbs the podium a new record is set.

Next week Mikaela is headed to Killington, Vermont, where she attended Burke Mountain Academy in her youth, with the opportunity to score her 100th World Cup on American slopes.

Shiffrin has an excellent track record at Killington where she has won slalom in six of the seven years the race has been held at the iconic Vermont ski resort. The Killington Cup includes a giant slalom next Saturday and a slalom next Sunday. Both events will be airing live on NBC Sports and Peacock. Congratulations to Mikaela. Can’t wait to see her race at Killington. Lets GO!
