One of Idaho’s oldest ski areas, Snowhaven Ski & Tubing Area, may stay closed through the 2024/2025 winter season as they’ve been unable to find a new manager. The City of Grangeville, which operates the area, explained in a Facebook post that the deadline for finding a new manager is December 1.
“The City of Grangeville is still actively looking for a manager for Snowhaven Ski & Tubing Area for the upcoming season. Anyone interested can contact Tonya at (208) 983-2851 to discuss the manager responsibilities and possible alternatives for this season.“
Snowhaven is home to 60 skiable acres over a 400 foot vertical drop, with two surface lifts (a T-bar and a rope tow), nine named runs, a terrain park, and a snow-tubing park. It is one of Idaho’s smallest ski areas but it’s also one of the state’s oldest, opening up in 1946.
If Snowhaven is able to find a manager and open for the 2024/25 season, tickets for a full day of skiing will cost just $25 for everyone 7 and up. A full individual season pass costs $250 for both skiing and tubing.
