Alta, Utah — No ski area has had better conditions over the past two winters than Alta. The Utah ski area received 903 inches of snow during the 2022-23 season and 628 inches during the 2023-24 season. The 1531 inches of snowfall provided Alta’s first back-to-back 600″ inches or more seasons in 15 years.

The Daily Pow created a great recap video of the past two ski seasons, documenting the greatest powder days from these two legendary ski seasons.

Alta’s has already received a couple of small snowstorms this fall. They’ll aim for a three-peat when they open for the 2024-25 season, with its projected start date being November 22nd.
