Ski descent @ Cerro Piergiorgio

Cerro Piergiorgio is a flat topped granite monolith that lies on the border between Argentina and Chile. Its visually stunning and once Polish ski mountaineer Andrzej Bargiel entered the valley where it is located, it caught his attention and he started planning a 1,400 meter ski descent down the Cerro Domo Blanco beneath the massive wall.

Andrzej is has made a name for himself in the world of ski mountaineering for fast ascents and ski descents from the highest mountains in the world without the aid of supplemental oxygen. This includes K2 in 2018. Cerro Piergiorgio might not be approach death zone elevations where the air dangerously thin and Andrzej thrives, but the extreme exposure is quite high stakes and presents it own unique set of challenges.
