Idaho – The most tranquil skiing video series has returned for another round of calmful shredding.
Dan Noakes just released the fifth chapter in his ChillHop Ski Music series. Noakes, who’s also known for his GHOSTS OF THE FRANK documentary, has produced a yearly video showing him backcountry skiing that’s set to chill Lofi hip hop music. He’s released an annual ChillHop video for the past five years, and this one is another gem.Â
The video features an estimated 90 runs in the backcountry during the 2023-24 season, with 72,000-90,000+ vertical feet of ski touring. The footage is from the Idaho and Utah backcountry. The feat is done by hiking, as no lifts were used to make this video. Most of these were done during the Early Dawn Patrol, as Dan pulled off these impressive runs while having a full-time job, being married and being a parent, and preparing a house while also needing to make a mortgage payment.
If you’re looking for a mellow way to forget about your worries and the endless problems in our world, I suggest turning the volume up on your device and watching this video.
