MT. BACHELOR, Oregon – Mt. Bachelor in Oregon reopened this weekend after evacuation notices for the Bachelor Complex wildfires were lifted in the area. While the resort is closed Monday-Wednesday per their usual Fall schedule, operations will continue on Thursday, September 19.
Mt. Bachelor was closed on Thursday and Friday of last week as the fires of the Bachelor Complex burnt nearby. No structures were immediately threatened throughout the fire and the resort has not announced any damage to the mountain’s trails, lifts, or buildings.
The Bachelor Complex is a series of multiple fires, ranging from sizes less than an acre to over 9,500 acres. Yesterday the fire sat at 10,801 acres, with 520 personell on the scene. The nearby Flat Top Fire, on the other hand, has grown to 34,985 acres.
Mt. Bachelor’s opening day for the 2024/25 ski & snowboard season, assuming conditions allow, will be November 20th.
