Tom Pidcock

PARIS, France – Tom Pidcock had a dramatic mountain bike race in this summer’s Olympics in Paris. From leading the race, to a puncture, to a light collision with race leader and Frenchman Victor Koretzky, back into first place, getting booed by the French crowd, and eventually winning gold. You can imagine the rollercoaster of emotions going through his head, but this interview makes it so you don’t have to.

I appreciate that Tom actually had something to say about the people booing him at the end of the race. It’s the Olympics, booing the guy who came in first just because your guy didn’t win is the exact wrong thing to do. I get it, the French crowd wanted to see a Frenchman win. But Tom was the favorite going in, and he put down an epic comeback that you’ve got to respect.
