Interesting video from the folks at PeakRankings detailing the major differences between ski resorts in Europe vs North America. They research was conducted while visiting six European resorts: Les 3 Vallées, Chamonix, Zermatt/Cervinia, Verbier, Crans-Montana, and Andermatt.
The comprehensive breakdown included things like resort size and interconnectivity, terrain ratings, signage, public transportation, snow conditions, après, and lift ticket prices. Ultimately, it sounds like Europe has a great atmosphere and modern infrastructure, but the snow quality is usually not as good compared to top North American skiing destinations.
