Jay, Vermont – One of the last ski resorts to close in New England is typically Jay Peak. While they don’t close as late as Killington, they usually make it into May. This season, they will make it to the second weekend in May.

Yesterday, Jay Peak announced that they will reopen on May 11th for one final weekend of skiing and riding. The Jet Triple will spin from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The Jet Triple last operated on Sunday, May 5th. The open trails will likely be Jet, Haynes, and Mont L’Entrepide. As is usually the case on Jay Peak’s final weekend, walking and/or grass skiing will probably be required. Jay Peak will close for the ski season at 4 p.m. on May 12th.

If you don’t have a season pass day to Jay or are an Indy passholder with an extra day to spare, lift tickets are only $49. For lodge services, Stateside will be open only for purchasing tickets and restroom use. In other words, bring your own food and drinks unless you want to travel to the Tram side.

If you’re looking to stay overnight, Jay is offering a $199-a-night vacation package that includes a two-night stay at the Hotel Jay and two days of access to the indoor waterpark. In addition, they’ll be having a Mother’s Day buffet at The Foundry Bar & Grille from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can make a reservation for the brunch here.
