Jay Peak’s closing weekends are a bit above the norm when it comes to late New England season players. Even in seasons when there are bare spots, they’ll still run the Jet triple chairlift. Before the closing weekend, they advise guests that hiking down the slope may be required… or you can ski down it. The end result is some kick-ass grass and mud skiing.

YouTuber Rago Mtb traveled to Jay Peak on its closing day to show what conditions were like. The bottom portion of The Jet trail was all grass and mud, making most decided to try skiing through it. Grass and mud skiing is far from easy and can mess up your skis, so Rago MTB pulling it off over long distances is super impressive. You can watch the video down below.
