Nature documentaries always manage to make me sad. Some baby animal is always going to be hunted, some animal is always going to go without a meal, no matter what the video is, I know there’s going to be something sad going into it.
I don’t feel very sad watching this clip, though. This baby bison, who was left behind by the herd after failing to cross a river, is attacked by a hungry wolf. Rather than accepting its fate, the bison fights back with all its might and, unbelievably, manages to come out on top. Sure, the wolf doesn’t get its meal, but both animals come out of the battle alive, and that’s pretty sweet.
