Unlike some species who roam Yellowstone National Park, stupid tourists do not hibernate during the winter months. Their numbers certainly dwindle but you can still find this breed of people getting needlessly close to wild animals year round.

Seeing a bison posted up right by the entrance sign may seem like a fortuitous family photo opportunity but this could have turned into an emergency situation in the blink of an eye. Yellowstone advises guests to remain at least 25 yards bison at all times. These folks didn’t seem to get that memo. If this bison did decide to turn the tables they can close distance incredible fast with a top speed of 35mph and quick getaway to the safety of vehicle could be further complicated by the icy roads.

Remember folks, let the wildlife be wild and give them plenty of space:
