SEATTLE, Washington – Gear failures in the backcountry can be devastating, even if you’re just a few miles from the car. Having a way to fix those problems, whether with ski straps, gear repair kits, or a full screwdriver kit, should be in everyone’s bag when they head out into the snowy wild. Fortunately LINE Skis just came out with the all-new Slider pole, containing a hidden pozi-drive in the middle of the pole.
“Introducing our newest pole, the Slider. As you might’ve guessed by the name, the Slider is a fully adjustable pole. With over 25cm of adjustability, an ergonomic grip, and a pozi-drive hidden in the middle of the pole, the Slider is your perfect companion for days in the resort to backcountry missions.“
The Slider poles, made from 7075 aluminum, come with 60 & 95mm screw-off baskets. With 25cm of adjustability in the length and an ergonomic grip, I can’t imagine these poles not being a good fit for nearly anyone, on or off the resort. The weight of the poles isn’t available on the website, but it’s probably safe to assume they’re slightly heavier than a typical ski pole given the hidden pozi-drive. That said, if you’re going to carry a pozi-drive anyways, it probably saves you more overall weight to have it built into the poles.
The LINE Slider Poles are currently unavailable on the website, but will cost $129.95 when made available.
