Lee, Maine- Timberline Lodge wasn’t the only ski area that had a fire over the past few days. Over in Maine, a few buildings at Mt. Jefferson Ski Area caught fire on Friday, April 19th.

The majority of the damage happened in their garage, which consisted of a tiny home that the owner of Mt. Jefferson had built, and various tools. The owner had started making tiny homes as a hobby, and this was the first one that he built. The first tiny home is a complete loss, and an investigation is underway.

Lee Fire Rescue was able to extinguish the fire, and stop it from spreading elsewhere at the ski area. Luckily, the base lodge and lifts were undamaged by the fire. Their shed saw minor damage from the flames.

According to WABI 5, the owner of Mt. Jefferson Ski Area intends to continue building tiny homes.
