On Sunday night, the series finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm aired. The improvised sitcom, which has been on the air since 2000, is regarded by many as one of the best comedy shows ever. For skiers and riders, one scene in particular stands out.

The context behind the scene is that Larry is on a ski trip to try to befriend and convince Ben Heineman, who’s head of a kidney consortium, to move his friend, Richard Lewis, to the top of the kidney replacement list. He’s on the chairlift with Rachel, who’s Ben’s daughter. When they’re riding the lift, it randomly stops for an extended period. Because Rachel is Jewish and single, she can’t be with a guy after sundown (“Shekiat hachama.”). Larry tries to convince her not to send it, but she jumps off the chairlift.

In the series finale, Rachel (Iris Bahr) shows up at the trial to testify against Larry David. That episode and The Ski Lift are now streaming on MAX.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was a pretty, pretty good show.
