Pagosa Springs, Colorado- Probably the most under-the-radar new chairlift project in Colorado for this winter is over at the snowiest ski area in the state.

This month, Wolf Creek Ski Area opened the Tumbler chairlift. The quad chairlift, which is approximately 900 feet long, is situated between the Learning Center and parallel to the “Okey Dokey” trail.

According to 9 News, Tumbler is half the speed of a normal chairlift, allowing beginners to load and unload more easily. The chairlift services easy terrain and is intended for novice skiers and riders.

In terms of recent conditions at Wolf Creek, they’re doing alright. That widespread snowstorm brought 38″ to the Southern Colorado ski area. As of March 18th, Wolf Creek has received 288″ of snow this winter.
